Will AI phones improve gig videos
Will AI phones actually make gig videos less painful?
Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event is in London today, and the AI-heavy phone stuff has me wondering whether this is finally useful for small musicians or just another reason to lose a charger.
I want a phone that can film a gig in a dark room, keep the vocals from turning into fizzy soup, cut out the bit where someone walks in front of the lens, and make a decent little clip before the last bus goes. That is a much more practical use of AI than generating a picture of a guitar made of clouds.
The boring test The real test is not the launch video. It’s whether I can prop the phone on a speaker, record one song, and get something shareable without spending forty minutes fighting menus, storage warnings and a cable that worked perfectly yesterday.
If these new Galaxy devices genuinely reduce that mess, great. If they mostly add clever editing buttons, I’ll keep using the phone I already own and blaming the lighting.
