What did the Wolverine panel reveal
Marvel’s Wolverine looks most interesting when it stops shouting
The new “Deep Cuts” panel for Marvel’s Wolverine made me more curious about the game, mostly because it treated the story as something stranger than a sequence of famous character entrances. Jean Grey, The Hand, and Deathstrike are a lot of ingredients, but the trailer’s mood suggests there may be an actual mystery underneath the superhero machinery.
The detail I’m watching The prequel comic and David Fleming’s score both seem designed to build context before the September 15 release. I’m cautiously interested, not because every grim Wolverine trailer needs another slow-motion claw shot, but because Insomniac appears to be thinking about how players discover this world. The panel is worth watching for that texture, especially if you like games that borrow the language of television without becoming a cutscene marathon.
