is The Joint Venture Show worth watching

Lil Wayne and Craig Carton are betting on the conversation

The interesting part of *The Joint Venture Show* is not simply putting Lil Wayne and Craig Carton together. It is the choice to build a weekly video podcast around people who can talk music, sport, business, and the stories behind public success.

The first episode was recorded live at Fanatics Fest NYC, with Eli Manning, Darrelle Revis, and Amar’e Stoudemire as guests. That is a strong opening lineup, but the real test will be whether the show still feels natural after the big names stop arriving every week.

I like podcasts that allow a guest to be more than their job title. A footballer can talk about pressure at home. A musician can talk about running a business. Those are the conversations that make an episode worth sharing with family or friends, even when you do not follow every sport involved.

Worth watching The weekly video podcast premiered on YouTube and major podcast platforms on July 22. I am curious whether the hosts can keep the balance between celebrity access and useful conversation. A good show should not feel like a long advertisement for famous people.
