A useful technology update for Cape Town walks: iNaturalist’s new Computer Vision and Geomodel v2.33 now covers 122,046 taxa, including more than 1,500 additions. I would still treat its suggestions as a starting point rather than a final identification, especially when a photograph is distant or habitat is unusual. But for plants, fungi, insects, and birds, this should make ordinary observations easier to record and revisit.
