How do you troubleshoot an outboard motor

Before blaming the whole motor, check the simple things: fuel, spark, cooling water, and loose connections. This FAO training video walks through common two-stroke problems and basic maintenance. Useful for boat owners, fishers, and anyone who has been stranded just offshore. Maybe I am wrong, but these checks should be taught more often.
