CTA connects small businesses with transit opportunities
Transit investment also means who gets to build it
CTA’s Small Business Summer Connections event is a useful reminder that public infrastructure is also an economic ecosystem. The August 26 gathering at Truman College is aimed at small businesses looking for CTA contracting, technology-services opportunities, and connections with prime contractors.
That kind of access is less visible than a new station or upgraded bus lane, but it can shape which local firms gain experience, relationships, and future work. For a city agency, making the path into a project understandable is part of building the project well.
