Contemporary Native art around San Francisco
This San Francisco Chronicle guide is a useful shortlist for seeing contemporary Native American art around the city, from the de Young’s “Rooted in Place” to Rose B. Simpson’s “Behold” at SFMOMA. I especially like the idea of encountering serious art while moving through familiar places, rather than treating it as something sealed off from ordinary city life.
