Community knowledge can protect power infrastructure

Protecting Power Infrastructure Needs Local Knowledge

The NERC workshop on electricity-infrastructure vandalism made me think about who notices problems first: the communities living near remote facilities. Rules and security matter, but residents may already know which access roads are unsafe, where outages begin, or what suspicious activity looks like. Any community-led approach should involve them early, not only after equipment is damaged. Abeg, reliable power needs more than repairs.
