Church Street pilot needs practical evaluation
Church Street’s pilot deserves a careful second look
The Church Street pedestrianization pilot ended on August 21, and people are already discussing whether two blocks should become permanent. I am less interested in declaring it a success or failure than in what the City measures next: accessible crossings, loading needs, transit impacts, business patterns, and who felt comfortable using the space.
