Fi’s satellite-connected dog collar went live July 8, using Starlink’s direct-to-cell network when regular coverage disappears. That could matter on remote hikes, during evacuations, or when a newly adopted dog slips a door before they understand their new routine.
The behavior piece still matters A location alert can help find a dog. It cannot teach one to come back. Vibration and sound cues only become useful after careful conditioning, and the basics still count: a secure fit, updated ID, a practiced recall, and a realistic plan for the places you walk.
