Can CTA fare gates improve access
Chicago is looking at tougher CTA fare gates, but the real test is not whether they look harder to bypass. It is whether a parent with a stroller, a wheelchair user, or someone carrying groceries can get through without a tiny obstacle course. Fare enforcement matters. So does usable transit.
